Warning: Information Overload

So at the beginning of the semester I started doing a research paper on the comparative analysis of genome size correlated with biological evolution, and to this day it’s filling up my mind with so much different things to know. With any type of evolution there are so many different ideas, and sometimes ideologies, that can conflict with one another. I guess the whole point of it is to sort it all out and come up with the best possible answer. In some ways it makes sense; fish contain the largest genome (humans come second), and I guess you can prove that fish dont evolve as fast.. Hence, they’re still swimming (and not walking -__-).. But there are so many different species of fish, who’s to say that they’re not evolving.. (which turns this whole conversation into a marine biology conversation, but let’s not get into that) Bacteria and viruses contain the smallest genome. They’re constantly changing and adapting to new environments; like the flu, different strain every year, new flu shot EVERY YEAR.. Which led me to my other research topic. M2 protein (the shit that surrounds the virus and forces the genetic information inside when the conditions are right) and the proton transfer with histidine AND tryptophan. Long story short, histidine is there for sure but some say tryptophan is there and plays an important role in it too. Fuck my mind is wandering just writing this. There’s so much more too it but if you’re still with me I hope I didn’t bore you. Basically, before all of this my mind was set on going into the surgical field. During this, thoughts of actually going into internal medicine are lingering in my mind. I mean, with internal medicine I would be able to diagnose a person by putting pieces of the puzzle together. And that seems pretty cool. But I still like the pace of the surgical field because no matter how many times I would do the same surgery over and over, it would ALWAYS be different. I guess once I get into it, IF I ever get to that point, i’ll be able to decide from there.. Whatever, I just had to let this damn rant out with so many fucking cuss words because my damn mind is going in damn fucking circles with all the damn fucking scientific research shit I feel like it’s about to fucking explode into like 10 fucking million damn pieces! I feel better already!
